C4L bridges the Gap between Research and
Instructional Practices.
C4L is uniquely suited to function as Learning Center
Specialists because of our extensive training and
experience in multiple disciplines: School Psychology,
Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Special Education,
and Teaching.
Our
History
Center
for Learning was founded in 1999 with the vision of
providing comprehensive assessment and educational
interventions to children with unique learning styles.
The Center was also designed to incorporate the
knowledge of multiple disciplines in order to maximize
student success. Our staff consists of a team of
clinical psychologists, educational psychologists, a
speech and language specialist, as well as teachers who
have been trained in a number of empirically proven
research-based interventions.
Currently, we are responsible for the learning
centers at two independent schools in Southern
California—St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan
Capistrano and St. Mary’s School in Aliso Viejo. Our
presence on these two campuses has provided on-going
collaboration opportunities with the administrators and
teachers in order to facilitate effective communication
between the school personnel and the parents.
Additionally, our presence on campus creates an
environment where student progress can be carefully
monitored and communicated. We work with students
ranging in age from preschool to the twelfth grade.
Our Vision
is to collaborate and build partnerships with
independent schools in order to increase their
capacities to meet their students’ needs.
Our
Mission is to provide staff development
opportunities for independent school teachers and
administrators based on the most current research-based
practices.
